Hello Co-Workers,
Well, here
we are at the end of summer. Time does move fast. I am happy to report
that we held our first orientation on Sunday, August
10th and I think it went pretty well. We had 12 new
candidates attend, and we had several sponsors and other co-workers
attend. Thanks to you all for taking the time to let us tell you about
our fantastic organization. If you were unable to attend this session,
don’t worry, we will be holding them every 2nd
Sunday of each month, at
10:00 a.m. from now on. We would love to
have you attend to learn more about what our Chapter is involved in and to
share some of your experiences with the new candidates and all of us.
Our new
Committee Chairmen are doing a wonderful job working on
fund raisers, collecting school supplies,
supporting community service activities, etc. I know
they would appreciate any of you volunteering to help with any of their
functions. If you don’t have your specific
Chairman’s phone number, just give our office a call at 454-3744 and we
will be glad to get you in touch with them.
For one of our community
service projects, our new Health Awareness Chairman, Sue
DeRosa has been kind enough to set up a Blood
Drive/Health Fair for all of our members. It will be
held on
Saturday, Sept. 13, 2003 from 1:00 to
4:00 p.m. here at the Lodge. Please see the notice inside the bulletin
with more details. You never know when you or someone you love could have
a need, so, if you can, we would appreciate it if you could please try to
come and help “give the gift of life”. We would like to have a minimum
of 20 donors.
The newest
Ritual Team (we call them our “Baby” team) is sponsoring the Crazy Carol
dinner dance on
Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003. If you have
not had the opportunity to see this show, you don’t
want to miss it. See more details on this inside the bulletin.
Our
Membership committee is holding a “Sponsor Candidates Campaign”.
Beginning with our August enrollment – for each new member enrolled, the
sponsor’s name will be put into a drawing. We
will hold one drawing monthly, one drawing quarterly, and one
final end of the year drawing. We will
have flyers around the lodge with details.
This will be in addition to the incentive awards given from
Mooseheart. We want each
and every one of you to join with us to “Catch The Wave” and
sponsor candidates. We appreciate every new member you bring in to join
our great fraternity and we want to show that appreciation with this new
campaign.
Well, I am
out of space so I guess it is time for me to close this newsletter again.
But if you have any questions regarding things in this article or anything
else related to the Chapter, please give me a call at 452-4929 (evenings).
Yours in Faith,
Hope and Charity,
Jan Richardson,
Sr. Regent
