Did you receive your letter informing you of which
Chapter Development Committee you were assigned to this year? If you didn’t,
please contact the office and confirm your current address with us. If we
don’t have your current address you may be missing out on a lot of
interesting information. We sure don’t want that to happen. If you did
receive a letter, and your committee was scheduled to have their first
meeting July 22nd, but you were not able to attend – don’t worry.
We will be having meetings monthly and we would love for you to come and
participate with us. You and your committee Chairman are the heart of our
Chapter. It is through your participation, enthusiasm and interest in our
Chapter that makes it what it is. When we have good times, we naturally want
to share them with others. That makes us what we are – a "fraternity".
Please come, and invite your friends and families to come join into "our
family".
If you haven’t been attending the Lodge lately, we
would like to know why. If you would like some different types of activities
and functions that would interest you and your friends, please send us a
note, give us a call, or even better yet, come to the meetings and let us
know in person, so we can plan for some of them. We want you to enjoy "your"
membership and the only way we will know what you want is for you to let us
know. We do care about "you"!!!
I have an apology to make to you new members. In my
last news article I had talked about starting our WOTM Orientation of new
members beginning with our July enrollment. Well, I know you have heard
about "best laid plans" – this was one of those. We have been told that we
should have our orientation on a separate date from the actual enrollment.
Therefore, beginning on Sunday, August 10, 2003 at 10:00 a.m., we will have
our first WOTM Orientation. This will be the same day and time the men hold
their orientation, so we hoped it would make it convenient for those of you
who have affiliations requiring orientation. Also, we are serving our
breakfast buffet, so you can make a nice morning of it. As I did say in my
last letter, any co-worker is invited to attend the orientation – not just
the new candidates. Whether you are a relatively new member, or one of those
that are not so new, if you would like to learn a little more about our
wonderful organization, we would love to have you attend.
In closing, I would like to say "thank you" to all
our co-workers, especially our new officers and chairmen for your patience
and understanding with me as I am taking my baby steps. If not for each of
you, I wouldn’t be able to accomplish anything. I appreciate each and every
one of you very much.
Yours in Faith, Hope & Charity,
Jan Richardson
