Hello Co-Workers! We are all
back from Chicago. What a great time we had!! The good Lord gave us great
weather for the day we went to Mooseheart. The high school graduation was
beautiful. The entire gymnasium was full of our Moose Brothers and
Co-Workers to celebrate this wonderful accomplishment with the 12 graduates.
Then we toured the campus, we saw the beautiful House of God, visited with
the house families and children in Baby Village, visited the Moose Museum,
and had a great picnic with Moose members from all over the world. It really
made us all appreciate just what our membership in the greatest Fraternity
in the world is all about. Then, to top off our week, our Ritual Team placed
4th (of 59 teams from around the world) in the competition.
Congratulations to all of them. Now we are back and ready to go!!! Our new
theme this year is "Catch The Wave" – sponsor new candidates. Isn’t that
great? The symbol we are using is the "dolphin". Fits in real good with us
down here in Florida. We have some beautiful new dolphin jewelry to help
promote this new theme. See Judy Edwards, or any of the officers and we will
be glad to show it to you. We also will be having some new membership
incentives connected with this new theme. So come join us, and ask your
friends and family to join us also. The more the merrier!!
We are going to start something new for our new candidates – New Member
Orientation!! We are going to start this beginning with our July enrollment.
We will be asking the new candidates to arrive at 6:00 p.m. the night of
enrollment for this orientation, rather than have them come on a separate
night. We feel that every new member should really understand what the Women
of the Moose is all about, so they can really appreciate their membership.
If any of you newer Co-Workers (or those not so new) would like to attend
one of the orientations, you are more than welcome to do so.
I also wanted to remind all of you. The Women of the Moose have a great
team of Co-Workers who do a wonderful job on Wedding receptions. Believe me,
they got me through two and they both were beautiful and professionally
done, with great food, attention to detail from set up to clean up – and
best of all, I didn’t have to do a thing!!! If you or someone in your family
is planning a wedding, please have them call the office and schedule a time
to meet with our "team". I can assure you, Gail Garrison and Marcelle
Wetherington will make the bride and groom’s dreams come true.
They told me I didn’t have much room this month, so I will stop here. But
I do want to say, Co-Workers, please get in touch with me or any of the
officers and let us know if you want some specific activities that we may be
not having at this time. We want to be here for you, but if we don’t know
what "you" want, that may not be happening.
Yours in Faith, Hope and Charity,
Jan Richardson
