Hello Co-Workers
--
It’s me again!!
As we start into November – our month of Thanksgiving I would just like to
say -- “My heart is so full and I have so many
of you wonderful Co-Workers to thank for that.”
Whenever we have asked for help – so many of you have come through 150%.
October was one great thing after another. We had a very successful
wedding the first weekend thanks to all of you who came out and
volunteered. We had a super Luau on the 11th. Thanks to our
Moosehaven and Mooseheart
Chairmen, Helen Hope and Bea
Feducia – a great time was had by all.
And of course the food was fantastic, thanks to our special kitchen
Co-Worker Tracy Singleton. Also, thanks to all
of you Co-Workers who are out there inviting your friends and family to
join our wonderful “fraternity”, we had another great enrollment in
October – 17 new Co-workers. Welcome to each and
every one of you. We want each of you to become involved and be a
part of the greatest Chapter anywhere. We have been having such good
times at our meetings. That is because more of our co-workers are coming
out and getting involved. Like I have said
before in my letters – this Chapter is what we make it.
And thanks to each of you we are making it a
great and fun year. But wait -- We had
another fun event in October. Our ever present Youth Involvement
Chairman (Tracy Singleton again) worked with her committee to prepare the
most fantastic children’s Halloween party we have ever had. There was
something for all the age groups. But I think
the planning committee had just as much fun as the kids. That is what
made it so great for everyone. Again, thanks to all!!!
Now it is time to start all of the fun stuff for November.
Beginning November 1st, we are
planning a Pancake Breakfast. But believe me,
knowing Tracy, it won’t just be pancakes. Come on out and
enjoy a feast. Then we are really planning a very special night for
everyone. The two Ritual Teams are hosting the
“Starlight Ballroom” dinner
dance for Saturday, Nov.
15th. We hope it will be
one of the highlights of the year. Tickets are available from any Ritual
Team Member, the office, or at the bar. Come step back in time and enjoy
the big band sound of the Richard Flutey
Orchestra at our very special “gala” evening. Come on out and join in
the fun. Then the last Monday in November our fun “Card Party” luncheon
will be held. You don’t
want to miss that.
We hope that we are planning
activities that will include all of our members. If you have
something you would like to see us participate
in that you don’t see happening. Ask one of our Board of Officers. That
is what we are here for – to serve you. If you would like to volunteer,
please just let us know. If we don’t ask you,
it isn’t because we don’t want you. It is because we
don’t know you are interested. Also, I
want to ask each of you to take the time to “thank” a volunteer.
Remember, they are the “special” people who hold our fraternity together –
“appreciate them”.
In closing, I would like to
say “I am thankful for my wonderful family, my
special friends, and all of the many wonderful people that have become my
extended family within the Moose fraternity”. I hope you all enjoy a
wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.
Yours in Faith, Hope
and Charity,
Jan Richardson, Sr.
