Hello Co-Workers
--
I
would like to welcome some of our snow birds back to the warm country!!!
It is great to see old friends back among us. You are just in time!!
We are really starting to get our activities started again after a very
warm summer. We have started our
Academy of Friendship Card parties
again. We have started having very successful orientation meetings for
our new candidates – the next one to be held on Sunday, October
12th at 10:00 a.m. Sponsors, please
do your best to attend these sessions with your new candidates, as well as
come to their enrollment meeting. It means so much more for them to be
able to share this experience with you – and you may even learn a few
things also.
We had a very successful
College
of Regents meeting on Sunday, Sept. 21st
to honor our new Collegian, Ellie Hollowell. Helen
DuBrock was also honored to receive her
red tassel, the next step of that degree. We were very fortunate to
have our new Florida Deputy Grand Regent, Vera
Smallridge and a Past Grand Council Member,
Mary Russell attend this special occasion to honor our newest Collegians.
Congratulations Ellie and Helen!!
The
Mooseheart Committee is sponsoring a Luau on Saturday, October
11th beginning at
7:00 p.m. Tickets
went on sale Sunday, Sept. 28th. We
hope everyone comes out and supports this great event.
It is an event that everyone always enjoys.
The committee will also be holding their Christmas Walk Chapter meeting on
Tuesday, October 14th at 7:00 p.m.
We hope all of you will come and share the “Christmas spirit” with us.
I
would like to thank all of you co-workers who are sponsoring all those new
candidates. We have been very fortunate to have great classes enrolled so
far this year. That is thanks to each of you for “catching the wave” and
bringing your friends and family to join our “great” fraternity!!
We gave our first Sponsor Award for the month of August to Helen
DuBrock. But
don’t worry – if your new members were enrolled last month, your name will
still remain in the basket. Then as you sponsor more members, your name
is submitted for each of them that are enrolled
too. The more you sponsor, the more chances
you have to get your name drawn the next month. Come out to the next
meeting and see if you will be the lucky one this month.
We are all really
looking forward to attending our Annual Conference the end of this month.
If you are interested in attending, we have applications in the Women’s
office. We are very proud to have TWO Ritual Teams competing at this
conference. It isn’t every Lodge and Chapter
that can boast about having two successful Ritual Teams to represent
them. We wish both teams all the best and know that they will come out
“on top”!!!
I will close by saying
- I am very proud of this Chapter and every
co-worker in it. From the 50 year member to the newest co-worker enrolled
this week!! Each of you is a special person
and I feel honored to be your Sr. Regent this year. Thank you very much
for allowing me to be a part of the “greatest” team of Co-Workers,
supporting the “greatest” fraternity in the world.
Yours in Faith, Hope &
Charity,
Jan Richardson, Sr.
Regent.
